There is a lot of interest being developed in this year’s auction. Most of that owes to the fact that many English players including Stokes are featuring this year. The teams are looking forward to having some great additions to their squads.
However one interesting point to note is the fact that all these players will be back in the auction pool next year. The teams will have to be careful and need to have a trade-off between having a good player and spending too much for just one season.
Other England Players in the auction list are Jonny Bairstow (INR 1.5 Crore), Jason Roy and Alex Hales (INR 1 Crore) and fast bowlers Tymal Mills and Chrish Jordan (INR 50 lakh).
Andrew Strauss has allowed the England Cricket players to take part in different leagues around the world in order to gain exposure across different conditions. Even during the Indian Series, England players including Ben Stokes showed interest in the attraction of the IPL.
