S Mavi cricketer: Prithvi Shaw thwacks six fours in Shivam Mavi over in DC vs KKR IPL 2021 match

Prithvi Shaw thwacks six fours: The opening batsman from Delhi Capitals provided a thunderous start to his team at the Narendra Modi Stadium.

During the 25th match of the ongoing 14th season of the Indian Premier League between Delhi Capitals and Kolkata Knight Riders in Ahmedabad, Delhi Capitals opening batsman Prithvi Shaw provided a thunderous start to his team.

Chasing a 155-run target, Shaw never seemed to look like facing his first delivery as he became only the second batsman to hit six fours in an over in the IPL.

Kolkata Knight Riders pacer Shivam Mavi, who had conceded a total of 13 runs in his four-over spell in the previous match, ended up leaking 25 runs in his first over tonight.

Mavi, who didn’t give the impression of trying to do a lot of things, continued to bowl full-length deliveries in Shaw’s arc. The manner in which Shaw was hitting the ball, the right-hand batsman was expected to become a source of amazement for one all.

Earlier, Kolkata had scored 154/6 in 20 overs on the back of all-rounder Andre Russell scoring 45* (27) with the help of two fours and four sixes after being asked to bat first by Delhi captain Rishabh Pant.

With bowling figures of 4-0-13-2, Capitals all-rounder Lalit Yadav was the pick of their bowlers. Apart from Yadav, fellow all-rounder Axar Patel also picked a couple of wickets in his four-over spell.
