Jadeja drops back to back sitters, Dhoni left stunned

When you talk about the new generation of Indian fielders, one of the best and most athletic fielders that come to mind is Ravindra Jadeja. But even the best in business have a bad day. The CSK vs KKR fixture was one such day for Jadeja who dropped a couple of chances off pacer KM Asif.
It was the 2nd over of the match and after the dismissal of Chris Lynn, CSK would have done themselves a world of good to see the back of other opener Sunil Narine.
Although, Narine is not rated greatly as a batsmen but he can be mighty dangerous in the Powerplay overs. All he has to do is to scoop the ball over the circle and the outfield takes care of the rest.

When Jadeja dropped two back to back catches, young bowler KM Asif, playing only his 2nd match in the IPL could barely say anything to his senior pro but the expression said it all. Even Dhoni, who is known to be calm, could have done with a stern look at the moment.
The first one was a sitter to the left of Jadeja which he failed to pouch. The next one was a bit high but well within the reach of Jaddu. However, he missed another chance courtesy a mistimed jump.
A few balls later, Harbhajan further rubbed salt in the wounds of KM Asif to misfield one at fine leg that went for a boundary. CSK can only hope that Narine’s dropped chances don’t prove too costly for them.
