James Rodriguez transfer news

James Rodriguez transfer news: The attacker only has six months left in his loan deal at Real Madrid.

Arsenal have been struggling off late. The side is fifth in the Premier League table, but has shaky since December last year.

The Gunners faced a stunning defeat to West Ham United on the weekend, which has dropped them level on points with Manchester United, who were 11 points behind Arsenal before Solskjaer’s arrival.

The situation around Mesut Ozil has also been worrying for the Arsenal fans. The midfielder has fell out of favour with Unai Emery, and was not included in the match-day squad for the Gunners despite being fit.

Unai Emery stated after the game that those in the squad ‘deserved’ to be there, which hints at a fall-out in the relationship between the two. And now, it has been reported that Arsenal have already identified a replacement for the former German international.

James Rodriguez transfer news:

According to a report by English media outlet Daily Mail, Arsenal are preparing a move for James Rodriguez. The Colombian currently plays for Bayern Munich.

However, his loan deal with the Bavarians expires in six months. And so, the Gunners would only have to pay £3m to secure the services of the star attacker on a loan deal till the end of the month.

Arsenal have also been heavily linked with a move for Barcelona’s Denis Suarez, but it is highly unlikely that a deal would substantiate in the current transfer window.

Unai Emery has stated in the press conference last week that Arsenal cannot sign players in January, but can only afford loan deals.

“I don’t know now his [Suárez’s] situation, but we can only sign on a loan,” Emery said.

“We cannot sign permanently. We can only loan players.”

The situation around Mesut Ozil has been complex. While Unai Emery has reportedly made up his mind to sell the player, Ozil has no intentions of leaving the club. His agent stated earlier this month that the midfielder is ‘100 per cent committed’ to his future at Arsenal.
