Bumrah is currently the number one ODI bowler and his variations make him a very dangerous limited overs bowler. The pacer injured his left hand on the final delivery of the 1st T20I against Ireland. As per latest reports, he has suffered a broken finger and will be sent back to India to preserve him ahead of the all-important England Test series.

The pacer injured his left hand on the final delivery of the 1st T20I against Ireland. At that time the extent of the injury did not look so big but the result has turned otherwise.
Umesh Yadav who had an exciting IPL and performed well in the one-off Test against Afghanistan as well, may get a game in the ODIs in Bumrah’s absence. Siddarth Kaul can also be played but Umesh’s chances look brighter.
“Bumrah was very good in the Tests in South Africa as well and team management will hope that he gets fit in time for the Test series against England. It’s a big blow for India. Hope his replacement will do a good job of it,” reported TOI on Saturday.
