Real Madrid played Atletico Madrid at the Wanda Metropolitano stadium to a rather dull match last night. Neither of the two looked threatening and ended the match without scoring. With this, Real hold their position at the top of the table with neighbours Atletico sitting at 3rd.

Eden Hazard was kept in the pocket by Kieran Trippier all night long while Atletico’s own record purchase failed to make a mark in his first Madrid derby. Despite pulverizing Los Blancos in the friendly, Felix miserably failed last night and was substituted in the 70th minute.
The lanky teenager was in for a rough night and was given quite the opening by Sergio Ramos who ran into him like a bulldozer right into the start of the match.

Sergio Ramos, who has quite the reputation of playing the game a little too hard, sent Felix to the floor with unnecessary force. Despite being lucky to have escaped a booking for his actions, Ramos shrugged the act and gestured to Felix to get back on his feet.

For all the talk about Real Madrid being a broken machine, they find themselves at the top of the Spanish mountain. To top it all, they are yet to be beaten in Spain. Perhaps the situation isn’t as bad as was being exaggerated elsewhere. After all these are just early days.
Zinedine Zidane will hope his side continue their run. Considering their form last season, this is quite the unexpected comeback.
