Manchester United have performed decently in the transfer market so far, having completed the signing of Brazilian midfielder Fred and Portuguese defender Diogo Dalot. And now, according to Manchester Evening News (MEN), Manchester United is set to pursue Tanguy N’Dombele.

N’Dombele played the previous season for Lyon on loan from Ligue 1 club Amiens.  According to L’Equipe, Lyon paid €2 million for the loan.

Lyon recently made the move permanent, and hence are reluctant to sell the player. However, MEN reports that Lyon would be open to sell the player if Manchester United meets the €50m price set by the club.

Lyon also secured a possible €250,000 in bonuses and 20% of any profit made should he be transferred from Lyon to another club.

The 21-year old midfielder made 32 Ligue 1 appearances for the French side, making a total of 47 appearances for the club. He was influential in Lyon’s league campaign, which saw them finish third, behind PSG and AS Monaco.

According to MEN, fellow Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur and Italian champions Juventus are also keen on signing the midfielder. It is also claimed that Lyon has already identified N’Dombele’s replacement in Strasbourg’s Jean-Eudes Aholou.

MEN reports that the arrival of N’Dombele could pose a potential problems for Ander Herrera, as he has already had a struggling season with Manchester United in 2017-18. The Spanish midfielder spent most of his time at the bench for the club, and according to MEN, there’s already a €30m offer on the table for him, from Atheltic Bilbao.
