Klopp was in attendance for the UEFA Elite Club Coaches Forum while the players left for their international break. He was also joined by fellow Premier League managers such as Unai Emery and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. However, his reaction to seeing Pep Guardiola was hilarious.

While speaking to the press ahead of the gathering, Klopp was asked if he spoke to Guardiola,

“Yes of course we (Pep) spoke. Why shouldn’t we speak? We speak constantly” He replied before finding out that the man was walking from around the corner right behind him.

“Pep Guardiola is coming!” Klopp whispered jokingly before making a swift exit.

And a fan on twitter seems to know why Klopp ran away from Guardiola.

Jurgen Klopp’s men are chasing a maiden Premier League title. The club came exasperatingly close last season but missed out by a single point. The Reds currently lead the table with 8 points above second place and 9 above City.

However, Klopp would be aware of the machine Guardiola has under him. The Spaniard possesses, arguably the most talented squad in the whole world. Manchester City are chasing history themselves. Winning the Premier League will make them only the second side after Sir Alex Ferguson’s Manchester United to win the Premier League 3 times consecutively. United however, achieved the feat twice.

With 26 games still in the league, the competition is far from over, although the advantage is with Liverpool at the moment.
