JUST IN: CSK announce retained players on Twitter
The IPL Player Retention telecast is set to begin from 6:30 pm today, with all teams already having submitted the list of retained players to the IPL governing body.
A maximum of 5 players can be retained by every franchise, using a combination of Retaining players and using RTM(Right to Match) cards during the auction.
Chennai Super Kings are returning to the IPL after a 2 year break, having been suspended due to corruption issues that had cropped up 2 years ago.
CSK will now be able to retain those players who were picked up by GL or RPS in the 2 years that they were absent.
Thus, MS Dhoni returning to CSK is a huge possibility, and it seems like CSK have announced their retained players, thanks to a cryptic tweet that they came up with today.
CSK tweeted that ” Madras is 378, so are we”.
Check out their tweet:

While the tweets is a direct tribute to the fact that Madras has turned 378 years old today, but the ‘so are we’ caption that has been added, sparks speculation about CSK secretly trying to tell the audience about their retained players.
The Number 378, has the jersey numbers of three of the most iconic players of Chennai Super Kings, in Suresh Rain(3), MS Dhoni(7) and Ravindra Jadeja(8).
The IPL Player Retention telecast will take place at 6: 30 pm today and will be telecasted on Star Sports.
