"So Klay Thompson was talking about me kicking his butt in Dominos": Warriors' forward Draymond Green talks trash to his teammate, while showcasing his Dominos supremacy

Warriors’ forward Draymond Green recalls a conversation he had with Klay Thompson before Game 6 of the 2019 NBA Finals.

Game 6 Klay is a phenomenon every Warriors fan is well aware of. While others may think it is something that the fans made up, but it is as real as things get. Almost every playoff series that the Warriors have trailed going into the 6th game, Klay Thompson has always stepped up.

Whether it was the series against the OKC Thunder back in the 2015-16 season where Klay had 41 in Game 6, or the series against the Houston Rockets in 2017-18 where he had 35.

A similar phenomenon occurred back in the 2019 Finals when the Warriors were down 3-2 to Kawhi Leonard and his Toronto Raptors. Draymond Green recalls the incident while talking about the newfound voice Klay Thompson has.

“I’ll destroy them”: Klay Thompson to Draymond Green

Game 6 Klay is a phenomenon. An unstoppable force, that no one can seem to contain. The case was no different in the 2019 Finals against the Raptors. In his 30 minutes of playtime before getting injured, Klay had a quick 30 points, 5 rebounds, and 2 steals.

After getting injured, Klay still managed to make the free-throws, so that left a chance for him to return to the game if he felt better. However, that was what happened during the game. Game 6 Klay is a mentality that starts way before the game starts.

Draymond recalls the same and said that Klay approached him before the game. There Klay told him,

“He was like, ‘Dray, I’m about to have one of those games. I’m telling you now, I’m about to have one of those games. I’m just like what? He’s like, ‘No, I’m about to destroy them. I’m telling you, just give me the ball, I’m about to have one of those games.’ Sure enough, he had one of those games.”

Klay has never been known to be the guy who speaks a lot, and instead, he lets his game do the talking. However, being out for almost two years now, Klay has started sharing his voice and opinions more, and it has been great for the Warriors to have him back in the arena.
