A few hours ago, transfer expert Gianluca di Marzio linked Karim Benzema with Serie A giants AC Milan.
The tweet said, “the backstory: last Monday meeting for French in Milanello.” The report said that Benzema’s representatives will be meeting with the club officials of AC Milan for a potential transfer for the Frenchman.
While Benzema has been out of favour under Zinedine Zidane, it is yet not known whether he remains to be the part of plans under Julen Lopetegui.
His agent reverted with a laughing emoji to the news.
The Italian journalist, in reply, issued a statement, which signified that Benzema might have changed his agent because his news is verified.
However, the issue worsened today as Karim Benzema has refuted the claims that he is moving to AC Milan. He took to Instagram to clarify the situation, and also took a shot at Di Marzio.
He made an Instagram story, confirming that the news linking him to AC Milan is a mere rumour. He wrote, “You’re the one who needs to change jobs, liar” for Di Marzio.
Real Madrid earlier sold Cristiano Ronaldo to Serie A champions Cristiano Ronaldo. The Portuguese winger left the club after 9 years at Real Madrid.
