The Kochi-based outfit would attempt to make amends from their previous campaign, where they finished a meagre 6th in the table. David James was appointed the manager mid-way through the season, and is set to lead Kerala Blasters in his second season as manager.

The previous season for Kerala Blasters was marred by Dimitar Berbatov’s comments on the manager’s style of play. The Serbian star forward criticised David James’ tactics of hoofing the ball towards the striker. Kerala Blasters could only manage to win six games out of 18 in the last season.
This season, however, Kerala Blasters have made twelve signings, including four foreign players. Youngsters like Dheeraj Singh and Anas Edathodika are expected to provide a major boost to the squad this season.
The new kit was launched by Mohanlal in the presence of the whole squad of Kerala Blasters.
