Kevin De Bruyne had a hilarious reaction to Nicolas Otamendi’s late foul during Man City vs Man Utd in the Carabao Cup semi-final.

Manchester City cruised to a 3-1 victory against Manchester United in the first leg of the Carabao Cup semi-final. However, the second leg at the Etihad proved to be a much more difficult affair with United winning the match 1-0.

However, City booked their Carabao Cup final spot against Aston Villa by leading on aggregate. Although, at one point, the club looked set to squander their lead when Nicolas Otamendi lunged at Harry Maguire just outside the penalty box.

Manchester United were awarded a free kick and Kevin De Bruyne was not pleased with his teammate for allowing that to happen. In fact, the Belgian was so upset, he did not even attempt to hide his disappointment.

Fortunately for Otamendi, his clumsy defending did not come back to haunt his side as Fred failed to clear the wall allowing the sky blues to clear the ball away. However, it is defending like this that has allowed Liverpool to leap so far ahead of them in the league.

Manchester City will now take on Aston Villa at the Wembley stadium on the 1st of March. City will look to successfully defend the Carabao Cup against Villa and win their first silverware of the season not taking into account the Community Shield they won against Liverpool in the season’s curtain raiser.
