KKR vs CSK Man of the Match

KKR vs CSK Man of the Match: Chennai Super Kings bowler was declared the Man of the Match for his superlative spell vs KKR.

During the 29th match of the ongoing 12th season of the Indian Premier League between Kolkata Knight Riders and Chennai Super Kings at Kolkata, Chennai Super Kings defeated Kolkata Knight Riders by 5 wickets to register their seventh IPL 2019 victory.

It is all but likely now that Super Kings will qualify for the knockout stage of the tournament. It is worth mentioning that they still have as many as six matches remaining in the league stage.

Chasing a 162-run target, Super Kings ended up sealing the chase in the last over on the back of a 41-run partnership for the sixth wicket between Suresh Raina (58*) and Ravindra Jadeja (31*). The fact that both of them found form with the bat in a tense chase must have come as a relief for the team.

With bowling figures of 4-1-19-2, KKR all-rounder Sunil Narine was the pick of their bowlers.

After Dhoni won the toss and put the hosts in to bat, Knight Riders ended up scoring 161/8 in their allotted quota of 20 overs. Opening batsman Chris Lynn top-scored for KKR scoring 82 (51) with the help of seven fours and six sixes.

With bowling figures of 4-0-27-4, veteran leg-spinner Imran Tahir was the pick of the bowlers for Super Kings. Other than restricting the run flow when the likes of Lynn and Andre Russell were going for everything, Tahir also made sure that he dismissed them.

His four victims comprised of Nitish Rana (21), Robin Uthappa (0), Lynn (82) and Russell (10). Tahir was declared the Man of the Match for his incredible bowling figures.
