KKR’s probable XI against CSK
Kolkata Knight Riders have made a solid start to the tournament beating the Royal Challengers Bangalore in the very first match. They look like a finely balanced squad and Mitchell Starc’s absence hasn’t had a huge effect on them.
They’ll be hoping to continue this good form into their second game against the Chennai Super Kings.
It doesn’t look like there would be a lot of tinkering with the winning combination of KKR. They are all set to go in with the same squad which would mean the Under-19 stars Shubhman Gill, Shivam Mavi and Kamlesh Nagarkoti would themselves on the bench once again.
OPENERS
KKR would expect an explosive start once again from Sunil Narine and would hope Chris Lynn also joins the party.
MIDDLE ORDER
Their solid middle order consists of reliable batsmen who provide the much needed balance to the entire squad. The likes of Uthappa, Karthik and Rana will be crucial this season and with Russell ready to provide the fireworks, the batting department looks very well equipped.
BOWLERS
The spin trio of Sunil Narine, Kuldeep Yadav and Piyush Chawla would be a good choice on the slow sluggish Chepauk pitch. Also the man with the golden arm, Nitish Rana, could also chip in with a couple of overs.
A reliable hand in Mitchell Johnson will also help, as the Aussie will look to lead the KKR bowling attack.
KKR predicted 11 :
Chris Lynn, Sunil Narine, Robin Uthappa, Nitish Rana, Dinesh Karthik, Andre Russell, Rinku Singh, Mitchell Johnson, Kuldeep Yadav, Piyush Chawla, Vinay Kumar.
