LeBron James visited Michael Jordan territory last night when the Lakers visited Charlotte. LeBron had a night to remember as he dished out a triple double to end what was a dominating and satisfying night for him.

Lonzo Ball too came up with a triple double and thus LeBron and Lonzo became the first duo since Magic Johnson and Kareem to achieve this feat for the Lakers.
Two teammates achieving triple doubles in a single game is a rare feat in the NBA, with the last one happening in 2007 when Vince Carter and Jason Kidd achieved the feat against the Washington Wizards.
Magic Johnson and Kareem did in 1982, thus reinstating the fact that such an incident is a rare occurrence.
LeBron James and Lonzo Ball both recorded triple-doubles tonight. The first pair to do so for the @Lakers since Magic Johnson and Kareem Abdul-Jabaar. #LakeShow

For the first time since Magic and Kareem did it in 1982, two Lakers teammates have a triple-double in the same game, as @KingJames (24P, 12R, 11A) and @ZO2_ (16P, 10R, 10A) get it done. Last time in the NBA was 2007 (Jason Kidd and Vince Carter).

A year on from that small post game meeting that Lonzo and LeBron had, wherein Lonzo tried luring LeBron to Los Angeles, the duo have gone on and created Lakers history.
Lonzo Ball would be ecstatic with this little record as he has received some criticism for his style of play and impact during a game.
With the Lakers trying to build a powerhouse for themselves, they’ll need to keep a young core to themselves in order to help them facilitate that blockbuster trade for Davis.
LeBron on the other hand keeps on making Lakers history for himself with every game and will be hoping that these records can help the Lakers go into the playoffs with a strong position.
Lakers suffered a terrible defeat to the John Wall led Wizards 128-110, with LeBron claiming that the team was low on energy, something that they thrive on in order to succeed on the court.

PPA and SIR from tonight's #Wizards win over the #Lakers. PPA is my NBA production metric. In PPA 100 = average and higher is better. SIR (Scoreboard Impact Rating) translates production into points on the scoreboard in this game. pic.twitter.com/PuizqsKlKD

Lonzo is improving everyday but with Davis in sight, do you think Lonzo will be traded away from Lakers in order for them to have their blockbuster trade or will he survive and make it big with the Lakers from next season on, when they will in all probability have their dynasty in place.
Interesting times ahead for the Lakers and Lonzo Ball.
