Lewis Hamilton comes up with brilliant birthday wish for Michael Schumacher
It’s Michael Schumacher’s 50th birthday and the F1 fraternity is making sure it sends all of its good wishes to the 7 time world champion, who is currently recuperating from that terrible ski accident that he had suffered 5 years ago.
Michael has been in intensive care in his luxury home in Switzerland and his family has assured his fans that they are doing everything humanly possible to help Michael get back to being his old self.
It has been a tough journey for Michael, his family and his fans in the last 5 years as his health hasn’t really improved significantly. Updates about his health have been scarce, as the family has wanted to honour Michael’s wish of keeping his health a private matter.
In a rare statement issued by his family a day prior to his birthday, Corinna and the Schumacher family announced the launch of his application and appeased the fans with a slight note about how they are doing everything possible to help Michael get back to how he was before the accident.
“You can be sure that he is in the very best of hands and that we are doing everything humanly possible to help him,” the statement read.
“Please understand if we are following Michael’s wishes and keeping such a sensitive subject as health, as it has always been, in privacy. At the same time we say thank you very much for your friendship and wish you a healthy and happy year 2019.” it added.
Now, on his birthday the F1 fraternity has sent out its messages all over social media, reminiscing the good old days with Michael and how he inspired a generation of drivers(and still does).
Lewis Hamilton took to social media to shower Michael with love on his birthday and to tell him that he has been an inspiration to him and the world.
“Wishing you a happy birthday, Michael. 50 years of life and a legacy that will last forever. What an honour it is to say that I have raced with you. You’ve always been a true inspiration to me and the entire world. Keep fighting, Champ” Hamilton tweeted.
