Liverpool are the utmost favourites in this game, but the Toons could spring a surprise with their high block defending.

We shall look at the Dream11 prediction between Liverpool and Newcastle United.

LIVERPOOL VS NEWCASTLE DREAM11 PREDICTION

Formation: 4-4-2

GOALKEEPER

Adrian: Adrian will be Liverpool’s number one shot-stopper until Alisson Becker makes a comeback. The Spaniard has filled the Brazilian’s shoes up to a certain level and Klopp will be hopeful that the keeper carries on his form into this game. The Reds have kept just one clean sheet this season and will be striving for another one before the intensifying kicks off.

DEFENDERS

Emil Krafth: Emil Krafth moved from Amiens to Newcastle in the summer transfer window. The Swede International has been performing in the defensive and offensive areas of the pitch. But, the right-back will have to oppose Sadio Mane, who has the capability to run over defences.

Trent Alexander-Arnold: Trent Alexander-Arnold’s offensive contributions are cardinal to Liverpool’s final third. He has two assists this season on the back of a stellar season. The English can rile up numbers and increase his goal tally.

Fabian Schar: Fabian Schar has been one of the best buys in Newcastle United history. Since Newcastle United play with the back three, the Switzerland International has the liberty to carry the ball to the offensive positions frequently. He has scored goals in that fashion and could cause trouble.

Virgil Van Dijk: Indisputably the best defender over the last year, Virgil Van Dijk is a towering presence in the backline. The Dutch International is one of the best passers from the back and can score from the set pieces as well. This makes him a threat in the defensive and offensive areas of the pitch for the Magpies.

MIDFIELDERS

Fabinho: Liverpool’s main midfielder is the Brazilian Fabinho. He sits back with the defence and wins plenty of tackles and makes interventions too. The former Monaco midfielder switches the play and can score from the set pieces as well.

Sadio Mane (VC): Sadio Mane has been on a hot form since getting integrated from the holidays. He scored against Southampton, Chelsea, and Burnley. He might have blanked against the Gunners, but he can score goals for fun.

Christian Atsu: Christian Atsu operates through the left-wing for the Magpies. Since he’s asked to do the defensive job, the Ghanian will sit back with the defence. But, he could hit the opponents on the counter-attacking, when an opportunity arises.

Mohamed Salah (C): Mohamed Salah scored three goals and has two assists to his name. The Egyptian has been a tremendous form since the turn of the season and could cause rampage as he remained at Merseyside during the International break. Since he’s the first-choice penalty taker, Salah could change the game within seconds.

FORWARDS

Joelinton: Joelinton has been blowing hot and cold since sealing a move to Newcastle United. The Brazilian scored the all-important goal against Spurs in the Premier League, resulting in a winner. He has the aerial prowess to create trouble to the Reds backline, but he needs to do a lot of running to disrupt their rhythm.

Roberto Firmino: Roberto Firmino has found his feet this season. He’s scored only twice, but makes the whole team tick with his constant pressing to win back the ball. He’s arguably the best player for Liverpool in August and will be hoping to carry on the form into this game.
