SPA-W Vs USA-W Dream 11 prediction: Dream 11 fantasy tips for Spain Vs United States for Women FIFA World Cup 2019

Spain Vs USA Dream11 Prediction: The SportsRush brings you the Dream11 prediction between Spain and the United States.

The Women’s World Cup has started to heat up as favourites meet each other in the Quarterfinals. Yesterday, France beat Brazil in Extra Time, and today defending champions USA face Spain in Reims, France. The former scored 18 goals in the group stage and kept 3 clean sheets. They were nothing short of absolutely destructive. Meanwhile, Spain finished 2nd in Group B, 5 points behind toppers Germany.

This match is perfectly set up for a team like the US with insane attacking talent against what has been an underperforming Spanish defence.

Spain Vs United States Dream11 Team

Formation: 4-4-2

Both teams feature expensive players with high points, and that’s why a compromise has been made on several positions for several players.

GOALKEEPER

Alyssa Naeher: The American international has kept 3 clean sheets in the tournament so far, with one against Sweden. She has only had to make 4 saves in the tournament because of the overall functionality of the outfield players. However, this is going to be a tad bit difficult comparatively against Spain, but we can always expect Naeher to deliver, when needed.

DEFENDERS

Kelley O’Hara: Right back for the States, Kelley has been stellar this world cup. She assisted Alex Morgan for USA’s first goal of the tournament and has kept 2 clean sheets in the process. She has won 65% of her duels against Sweden, created several goal-scoring chances from the wing.

Abby Dahlkemper: USA’s no. 7 starts not at the wing, but as a centre half for the team. She’s one of the two outfield players for her team to have started all three games. The 26-year-old is a long ball expert and attempts several of them during the 90 minutes.

Marta Corredera: Levante midfielder Corredera plays at right back for Spain, and her stamina and high football IQ makes her very  dangerous in both attack and defence. She’s very good at overlapping and pings in precise long balls and early crosses.

Marta Torrejon: Captain of the Spanish National Team, Torrejon is her namesake’s fullback half. She’s fast and even more attacking than Corredera. Her hardworking nature with club and country will set as precedence to her teammates.

MIDFIELDERS

Samantha Mewis: Starting 2 games for her national team, Samatha is the box to box central midfielder in the team. She’s had a spectacular attacking output for the USA, scoring 2 goals and providing 3 assists in 2 games. She made 4 key passes and completed 100% of her take ons against Thailand and is a crucial part of the American system.

Lindsey Horan: Another central midfielder with attacking instinct, Horan is playing her third World Cup with the USA. She’s been directly involved in attacking play of 2 goals in the World Cup till date. Horan can also play wide because of her pinpoint crossing technique.

Lucia Garcia: Lucia has played all three games for Spain, but has only started one. She came on against South Africa to score in the last minute of the game. The 20-year-old has immense attacking talent, and provides very good pace for them on the wing.

Alexia Putellas: Barcelona’s winger Alexia is a very talented forward with an eye for a pass. She starts on the flank but drifts inwards to curl one in the top corner. She’s been involved in all games for Spain and gave an amazing performance against Germany, putting in 2 key passes and completing 100% of her long balls.

FORWARDS

Alex Morgan(C): Inarguably the best player in the world right now and at the tournament, is Alex Morgan. She opened her account against Thailand scoring 5 goals and giving 3 assists, which made the world go berserk. She’s the top scorer in the tournament right now, level on goals, with now knocked out Samantha Kerr. The 29-year-old winner will not stop her quest for another World Cup, and will keep on scoring in the tournament. For all the above reasons, she’s my captain for the game.

Jennifer Hermoso(VC): Inarguably their best attacker Hermoso has scored 2 goals in the world cup. Both her goals were penalties against South Africa. However, this gives her an added advantage as she’s the first choice spot-kick taker for her team. The Atletico forward can also play in midfield because of her passing skills. She’s the best bet to come up against the mighty USA and get a goal or two to her name.
