Liverpool Lineup vs Barcelona : Liv predicted lineup for Champions League Semifinals | Liverpool News

Liverpool Lineup Vs Barcelona: Here is how Liverpool could lineup against FC Barcelona at Anfield on Tuesday.

Liverpool’s chances of overturning the lead are very slim, especially after conceding three and scoring none in reply. First-half strike from former Liverpool striker Luis Suarez and a brace from Barcelona’s Skipper Lionel Messi in the second part of the game took the game away from the English outfit.

Jurgen Klopp’s side toiled out for a victory against Newcastle United at St. James Park on Saturday, whereas the Blaugrana rested their majority of the squad having already been crowned as La Liga Champions. Ernesto Valverde will not be concerned about their 2-0 loss to Celta Vigo away from home as their whole concentration is on getting the job done against Liverpool on Tuesday.

Lionel Messi, Arturo Vidal, and Jordi Alba insisted that the tie is far from over because of Liverpool’s capability of overturning the deficit within a blink of an eye. The Spanish outfit will deploy defensive methodology and try to hit them on the counter attacks. One away goal can change the whole complexion of the two-legged tie.

The Reds have been simply rampant over the last few months in front of their home crowd and will hope for the same against the Blaugrana.  Jurgen Klopp has not lost a two-legged tie in European league as a Liverpool manager and he will hope that the record stands after the second leg.

We shall look at Liverpool’s team news, injury news, and predicted lineup.

Team News

Jurgen Klopp confirmed the absence of Roberto Firmino for Tuesday’s game against FC Barcelona following the victory over Newcastle United on Saturday. To make things worse, Mohamed Salah suffered a head injury during an accidental collision with Martin Dubravka on Saturday. The Egyptian was forced to be stretched off and will be another absentee for the Reds.

Speaking in the pre-match press conference, Klopp confirmed that Salah suffered concussion against the Magpies and is unlikely to risk him on Tuesday.

“It’s concussion so he wouldn’t be allowed to play. We cannot do it. Both Mo and Roberto are not available.”

Klopp also confirmed that Salah would be back in time to face Wolverhampton Wanderers in the final day of the Premier League, whilst there was no word about Roberto Firmino who looks increasingly likely to sit out for these two games.

PREDICTED LINEUP

Liverpool: Alisson Becker, Trent Alexander Arnold, Joel Matip, Virgil Van Dijk, Andy Robertson, Fabinho, Gini Wijnaldum, Jordan Henderson, Xherdan Shaqiri, Sadio Mane, Divock Origi.
