Liverpool Lineup Vs Wolves: Liverpool predicted lineup for Premier League | Liverpool News

Liverpool Lineup Vs Wolves: Here is how the Reds could lineup against Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Liverpool will be aiming to procure three points against Wolverhampton Wanderers at Anfield on Sunday. Jurgen Klopp’s men can only hope for Brighton to take points off Manchester City in a game which is held simultaneously in a title-decider as the season comes to a conclusion.

If Pep Guardiola’s men manage to overcome the Seagulls, the Citizens would have won 14 consecutive games in the Premier League which is undeniably the best any side can expect during their title run-in. On the other hand, Liverpool have drawn just four and won the rest 10 and the least they can do is to hope for City’s opponents to nick away a point on Sunday to end their title drought.

Liverpool won the reverse leg 2-0, thanks to goals from Mohamed Salah and Virgil Van Dijk in a tight contest at Molineux. They will be hoping to replicate the same scoreline on Sunday, but the visitors have the power to pluck points off the top six sides in the Premier League. Sitting on the seventh spot, Nuno Santo’s side are third in a mini top seven table, only behind Liverpool and Manchester City.

Only a victory would guarantee Premier League title for Liverpool and the Reds will be aiming to get the job done after making a miraculous comeback against Barcelona in the Champions League Semifinals on Tuesday.

In this article, we shall look at Liverpool’s team news, injury news, and predicted lineup.

Team News

Mohamed Salah was forced to miss out the clash on Tuesday, but the Egyptian is expected to fare in the starting lineup after training separately on Friday. Jordan Henderson and Andy Robertson, who picked up injuries during Barcelona clash may be included in the starting lineup, according to the boss.

Roberto Firmino is expected to sit out for another week, but the Brazilian will make his comeback in the Champions League finals.

“The famous three words of this week in the dressing room: ‘It’s only pain.’

“Very important for all the young lads to learn, I’ve said that already to the boys. Hendo said, ‘It’s only pain’, Robbo said, ‘It’s only pain’ – but it was real pain, wow!

“Unfortunately, Robbo could deal with the pain but only the rest of his body couldn’t because he couldn’t really activate the muscle anymore, some nerve hit or whatever.

“They should be fine [for Sunday].

“Bobby not [available] for the weekend, but we have time [before the Champions League final] and that should be enough.

“Mo looked good around the celebrations after the game, to be honest! The day before yesterday and yesterday he was running outside and will be part of training today.” said Klopp.

Predicted Lineup

Liverpool: Alisson Becker, Trent Alexander Arnold, Joel Matip, Virgil Van Dijk, James Milner, Fabinho, Gini Wijnaldum, Jordan Henderson, Mohamed Salah, Divock Origi, Sadio Mane.
