Liverpool News: James Milner trolls Manchester United

Liverpool News: James Milner trolls Manchester United ahead of the Premier League clash between the old rivals this weekend at Old Trafford.

Liverpool vice-captain James Milner played for a number of teams before making his move to Liverpool. He started his career with Leeds United before moving to Newcastle United, Aston Villa, Manchester City and finally Liverpool.

James Milner has become a fan favourite at the Anfield for being as industrious as he is on the field for the Reds. And his answer at a recent interview regarding Liverpool’s rival Manchester United will surely earn him more plaudits.

Milner was a guest at BT Sport’s What I Wore, where he was asked about the various jerseys that had an impact on his career. Near the end of the show, he was asked which two personally significant football shirts he would save if he were forced to flee a burning building.

Rather than outright answer the question, Milner chose to have a bit of fun at the expense of Manchester United, joking that he would willingly throw one of the club’s shirts into a fire.

Asked to select a shirt with which he associates a fond memory as well as another shirt purely for stylistic reasons, Milner grabbed a 2009-10 United shirt and laughed:

“Well, that one’s getting thrown into the fire!

Milner was born into Leeds United before moving on to Manchester City and Liverpool. Despising Manchester United must surely be second nature to him by now. Even though the gap between the sides has widened a lot in recent years, you can expect Liverpool and Milner to come roaring at the struggling side with the intention to leave with 3 points and their winning run intact.
