Rhian Brewster led England to a historic Under-17 World Cup win last year, where he won the Golden Boot. However, he is now tempted by a move away from Liverpool.

Liverpool youngster Rhian Brewster is linked with a move away from the Merseyside club. According to the Telegraph, the 18-year old striker “looks certain” to join Bundesliga club Borussia Monchengladbach this summer.

Brewster shined for England’s U-17 team last year in their title winning World Cup campaign, beating Spain in the final. The youngster later played for Liverpool U-23, and delivered strong performances.

Rhian Brewster has not yet signed a professional contract with Liverpool. The Reds, although, have triggered the third year of his scholarship deal. Under the conditions of the deal, a player cannot talk to other clubs, even outside England.

However, the scholarship deal is set to expire this summer, which opens the door for Brewster to leave.

Brewster won the golden boot at the U-17 World Cup, which held in India last year. According to The Guardian, Liverpool are increasingly concerned about the Brewster situation. The Merseyside club has so far failed to offer a lucrative deal for Brewster.

Jurgen Klopp considers Rhian Brewster to be an important part of the first-team squad. However, the the youngster is tempted by the challenge in Germany.

In the presence of Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino, the youngster’s chances of breaking into the starting XI are bleak.

Other German clubs like RB Leipzig and Borussia Dortmund are also linked with the youngster, according to reports.

Earlier, Borussia Monchengladbach signed youngster Mandela Egbo from Crystal Palace. Liverpool are worried that they will lose another such English talent to a German club.

Klopp has not yet commented on the Rhian Brewster situation, as Liverpool prepares for the Champions League final. The Merseyside club will play Real Madrid on May 26 at Kiev, where they will attempt to stop the Madrid club from winning their third consecutive title.
