Liverpool Transfer News: Barcelona forward Ousmane Dembele could be on his way to Anfield this summer. The young forward is reportedly available for sale and the European Club champions are interested.
According to Team Talk, Barcelona have reportedly given Liverpool the green signal to make a bid for Ousmane Dembele. However, the permission has come under the condition that the Champions League holders bid no less than £97 million; the same amount the Catalan club spent on the French wonderkid.

The Catalan Giants nabbed the talented forward back in 2017 in hopes that he would help fill the outgoing Neymar’s shoes. However, Dembele’s stay at Barcelona has been plagued by a series of injury problems and with question marks over his attitude.
The young forward did do well eventually though, producing 14 goals and nine assists in his second season at the Camp Nou. Unfortunately, the big money spending on another French Superstar, Antoine Griezmann and the impending arrival of Frenkie De Jong means that Barcelona needs to let go of Dembele to recover some of their money.
Liverpool had not planned to splurge this season. However, with Dembele being one of Klopp’s top targets, they might go all out to get the young forward in Anfield. With a front line of Mo Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino, it will be interesting to see where Klopp fits the French Starlet.
Last year Jurgen Klopp indulged in a spending spree that saw him buy Naby Keita, Fabinho, Xherdan Shaqiri and Alisson. Liverpool had a magnificent season, finishing at second place in the English premier league, losing to Manchester City by a single point. However, they remained more consistent in the Champions League as they beat Tottenham 2-0 in the finals to secure their 6th European Championship.
