'I'm in seventh heaven' - Real Madrid's Eden Hazard

Eden Hazard says he is in seventh heaven after pledging his future to Real Madrid and Zinedine Zidane.

Eden Hazard says he learnt a lot under Antonio Conte and Maurizio Sarri, but is in ‘seventh heaven’ under Zinedine Zidane.

The Belgian completed a 88 million transfer in the summer window to play under Zinedine Zidane at Real Madrid. The new signing scored his first goal against RB Salzburg in a friendly and will be involved in the upcoming game against Roma on Sunday.

In an interview with the Italian outlet Corriere Della Sera, the former Chelsea attacker, who publicly spoke about his desire to represented the Los Blancos one day, said it is a dream to be part of his new club and seek advice from his idol Zidane.

He said: “As a child I dreamed of one day wearing Real Madrid’s shirt,”

“When Real knock on your door you can do only one thing: open it. At Chelsea I spent unforgettable years, but here I am in seventh heaven. One of my idols, as a child, was Zinedine Zidane. I had his poster in the room and now I have the opportunity to be trained by him.”

Asked whether Conte or newly installed Juventus coach Sarri had the bigger impact on him, Hazard added: “I learned a lot from them both. They are different from each other in terms of character and football ideas, but they have one thing in common: they are two winners. They have a marked style, and they know which messages to give to players.”

Here’s how Twitter has reacted..

What’s next?

Eden Hazard will be key to Real Madrid’s rebuilding process in Santiago Bernabeu. Anything less than a silverware in the forthcoming season will cause disappointment stir amongst the Los Blancos faithful.
