Jurgen Klopp and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer are battling out for €80 million-rated Nicolas Pepe.

Liverpool and Manchester United are looking to upgrade their front line with Nicolas Pepe. The Ivorian has been one of the best players in Europe this campaign by outscoring some of the prolific forwards. He has produced 23 goals and 12 assists in 41 appearances, thereby earning adulation among various European clubs, including the English giants.

According to Duncan Castles, Jurgen Klopp and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer have made contacts with Lille for Nicolas Pepe. The report adds on that the Reds have opened talks with Pepe’s representatives to discuss a transfer to Anfield, whereas Lille are waiting for Liverpool to bid for the attacker.

The French side are expecting a bidding war for their attacker, but it seems highly unlikely as Liverpool are well stocked in the frontline. Liverpool already have Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane through the wings. If Nicolas Pepe signs for the Merseyside outfit, Jurgen Klopp will see him as no more than understudy to the duo.

However, the Reds can have superior squad depth and challenge Manchester City toe-to-toe once again if they manage to land Nicolas Pepe. As implausible as it looks, it would be too hard to turn down an opportunity for the Reds as it is an enliven challenge.

At the other side, Manchester United have lacked legs through the right attacking flank, with Jesse Lingard as the only option. Nicolas Pepe has exquisite work rate and can make things happen in the final end of the pitch – as his numbers suggest. Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford are congenial through the other wing, which paves way for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to make a move for Pepe.

Nicolas Pepe’s future looks great as he is coveted by Paris Saint Germain, Manchester United, and Liverpool in the summer transfer window. He is a great asset and nobody would want to miss out on this transfer.
