Liverpool’s Harvey Elliot gave a brutal response to Real Madrid’s offer. The Spanish Giants attempted to convince the youngster to join them last summer.
Harvey Elliot joined Liverpool last summer. In the time since, he has only furthered his reputation as one of the most exciting young talents in world football today. Several top clubs across Europe looked to bring him to their fold last summer; one of which was Real Madrid.

Los Blancos attempted to convince the youngest player to play in the premier league to move to the Spanish capital by giving him a tour of Santiago Bernabeu and their training ground complex. Real Madrid even tried to entice him with a possible meeting with their long serving captain Sergio Ramos.

Elliot has been a lifelong fan of Liverpool. He was also in attendance with his father during Real Madrid’s match against the Reds in the Champions league final at Kiev. He witnessed Ramos’ cynical foul on Mohamed Salah which immediately dashed their hopes of winning.
Clearly Elliot was still hurting over the incident as he immediately rejected the offer to meet the man responsible for the incident.
“No, it’s OK, thanks,” Elliott replied, according to The Athletic. “I don’t like him after what he did to Mo Salah.”
Real Madrid won that Champions league final. However, Liverpool secured the teenager’s signatures despite interest from other European big wigs such as Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester City, Chelsea and Arsenal.
Elliot eventually made his Premier League debut when he came in as a substitute for who else but Salah, in their 2-0 win over Sheffield United earlier this year.
