The Rohit Sharma-Ritika Sajdeh pair has caught many eye balls in the past 3 weeks, with Rohit dedicating his 3rd ODI double hundred to his wonderful wife, as Rohit brought up that score on his wedding anniversary.

Rohit has often credited his wife for bringing in a lot of maturity to his game, but not many know about how the two met.

Rohit opened up on his first ever interaction with Ritika and how they started off as professionals, with Ritika managing him during those days.

“I had gone for a shoot with Yuvraj Singh and Irfan Pathan. I reached the place where the shoot was going on and went to meet Yuvraj Singh as he was the senior player,” Rohit continued.

It was the very first time Rohit saw Ritika sitting there and he desperately wanted to start talking to her. Before he could proceed, the senior Yuvraj had some words of advice for Rohit Sharma.

“Ritika was sitting there. Before I could start talking to her, Yuvi said, “Don’t look at her, she is like my sister”. I was looking at Ritika with a lot of anger during the entire shoot,” Rohit said while recalling the best moment.

Rohit Sharma was completely distracted by Ritika Sajdeh’s presence and so he couldn’t do well on the shoot. Rohit said that was the time Ritika approached him to ask whether he was fine.

Ritika then started managing Rohit and slowly they became friends. The friendship grew and then blossomed into love

“After that, we became very close friends. She started managing me as well. There was some connect as a friend. We did a couple of shoots together and it became a never-ending relationship,” he added.

Ritika marks her presence at the gallery to cheer her beloved hubby and the Indian cricket team. The cricket fraternity had witnessed quite a lot of pleasing moments between Ritika at the stands and Rohit Sharma on the pitch.

Right from best friends to passionate soul mates, the intriguing tale of Rohit Sharma and Ritika Sajdeh has caught the imagination of many.

Rohit Sharma skippered the side superbly in Virat Kohli’s absence as he led India to ODI and T20I series wins over Sri Lanka.

Rohit Sharma has an important role to play in South Africa tour, as he could be slotting in at the number 6 spot for India.
