Ajax started the game on a high and lead the game by two goals in the first half. The Dutch International and Ajax Skipper, Matthijs De Ligt scored a thumping header from a corner to lead the game in the fourth minute. Spurs’ number 7 Heung Min Son had an excellent chance to draw parity within minutes, but the Korean International failed to take that chance.
The hosts did not sit back and hit them through the counter to take firm grip in the tie. Hakim Ziyech found the top corner through an exquisite curler to have a two-goal cushion in the game. Those two goals were erased by Lucas Moura in the second half.
In a counter-attacking situation, Dele Alli miscontrolled the ball, but Lucas Moura made a sprint to take the ball from his feet and find the back of the net from close range. Within four minutes, the visitors found the equalizer for this game through the Brazilian, Lucas Moura again.
The initial shot from Fernando Llorente was parried away by the shot-stopper Andre Onana. When he rushed down the track to claim the ball, the defender and goalkeeper collided to make a huge fuss out of it. Lucas Moura faked twice to pick out a gap out of nowhere and find the back of the net to equalize the score.

The introduction of Fernando Llorente did the trick and Spurs are not willing to go down without a fight in the second half. Ajax, on the other side, are struggling to cope up with the attack of the English outfit.
