With Manchester City, Guardiola was blessed with a team full of extremely talented players and a board that had the financial clout to add even more such players. However, with UEFA striking the club down for “serious breaches of the Uefa Club Licensing and Financial Fair Play Regulations by overstating its sponsorship revenue in its accounts and in the break-even information submitted to Uefa between 2012 and 2016” resulting in a 2 season ban from all UEFA competitions, he has reportedly done a 180 on his stance.

According to the Telegraph, Pep Guardiola will consider his future as manager of Manchester City in the summer. A source close to the manager told the publication that the Spaniard is in a “state of shock” and will now “evaluate” his plans at the end of the season if the ban is not overturned within the next three months.

“It’s stay calm and carry on for now,” the source said. “Pep will not decide now what he’s going to do. He will keep calm and decide what to do in future. Nobody expected this. City punished harshly. We are genuinely shocked by this punishment.”

City have since announced their decision to contest the verdict. The club are desperate to overturn the ban or at the very least reduce it. In the event that they fail to do so however, there will be a huge shadow over the future of the club’s star players and even their superstar manager Pep Guardiola.
