Man Utd January Transfers: 3 players Manchester United can target in this window

Man Utd January Transfers: 3 players Manchester United should target as winter transfer window has arrived amidst the season.

Manchester United need to rebuild their squad as their present resources are not adequate to make them among the top-performing teams in the Premier League and Europe and the club needs to make few upgrades in order to bolster the squad.

The winter transfer window has arrived and most of the times, clubs are not willing to make major transfers as it can destabilize the planning of the season while the games are still going.

On the other hand, a player requires time to get used to the change in the environment and the new style of the play. Nevertheless, Manchester United require new signings to make immediate solutions in the team.

There are many spots in the team which need upgrades and Ole Solskjaer should break his bank to get them in January itself. Considering, the offers would be made in the middle of the season, the Red Devils would be required to lure with extra cash.

Thus, we list down the players Manchester United can target in this transfer window to make it big in this season.

1. Todd Cantwell

Todd Cantwell has shown his potential while playing for Norwich City, his tally of 6 goals and 2 assists in 21 appearances for the club has been highly impressive.

The English International can be a good squad player at Manchester United and with Paul Pogba probably exiting by the start of the summer transfer window, Cantwell would be required to prevent the weakening of the midfield.

He is just 21 years old and is English, thus he has a lot of room to improve and already knows the game-style of the Premier League, moreover, his price tag is also not huge, which makes him a suitable candidate for Manchester United.

2. Bruno Fernandes

Bruno Fernandes has been on the radar of Manchester United since a long period of time, the Red Devils find him as the right candidate to bolster the midfield.

His powerful shots and ability to make goal-scoring chances can suit to the style of Manchester United. He would be a great fit behind the attack, from where he could attack and also score goals.

Sporting Lisbon’s demand in compensation to Fernandes is the only major problem, which the club needs to sort out. In the last window, Manchester United tried their best to fetch him.

However, the deal could not be completed by the end of the window. Thus, it would be better if Manchester United battle for him once again this month.

3. Ruben Dias

Manchester United is short of players at defence, in every game, Victor Lindelof and Harry Maguire have played throughout all competitions, the unreliability of Phil Jones, Eric Bailly and Marcos Rojo is a huge problem for the club.

Moreover with the exit of Chris Smalling from the club on loan makes them even more vulnerable. Hence, Ruben Dias should be the target of Manchester United considering the situation.

The 23-year-old player is a promising talent at Benfica but a lot of big clubs including local rivals Manchester City. Benfica can be stubborn to sell the player on a reasonable price considering the competition.

But he seems to be a viable option to bolster the defence at Manchester United, or else Manchester United can look at other options in the market like Dayot Upamecano, but his exit amidst this season is unlikely as RB Leipzig is the favourite to win Bundesliga under the current situation.
