Man Utd News: 3 candidates who should replace Ole Gunnar Solskjaer

#2 Laurent Blanc

Laurent Blanc spent two years as a player between 2001 and 2003 at Manchester United. The Frenchman knows the club to a certain extent and could have an effect should he be appointed as the new manager.

The 53-year-old has good experience to back up this claim – having won the league thrice in a row with Paris Saint Germain before getting fired in 2016 over the lack of success in the European competition. Despite his title-winning habit in Parc Des Princes, Blanc steered underdogs Bordeaux to the league title. He also managed France, but failed to pick up crucial results.

For some weird reason, Laurent Blanc has been unemployed over the last three years. He can help this side on a short-term basis and could solve the goalscoring problems as he’s known for his attractive style of play. If provided with an opportunity, Blanc will take it without second thoughts.
