Gary Neville has hit out at English media for Manchester United bias.
Manchester United legend Gary Neville has criticized the English media for their biased work following England’s comfortable victory over Czech Republic in the UEFA Euro Qualifiers. Gareth Southgate’s men clinched a 5-0 win over the European side at Wembley Stadium on Friday before facing Montenegro in the same tournament on Tuesday.
Raheem Sterling and Harry Kane scored one apiece in the first half to take a facile lead into the dressing room. The game was put beyond the reach of the visitors when the Manchester City forward completed his hat-trick in the second half before Tomas Kalas slotted the ball inside his own net in the dying seconds of the game.
Despite a tremendous show from Raheem Sterling, the English outlet, Telegraph, decided to write a headline about Marcus Rashford and Jesse Lingard’s necessity to fight for a place in the starting eleven which has infuriated plenty of people including the former Manchester United right-back Gary Neville.
The headline read as follows: “England give countless reasons to smile as absentee Manchester United stars will ponder their position”
Despite a poor selection of headline, the caption in the Twitter has given another reason for the fans to crucify the Telegraph.
“Jesse Lingard in particular may now face a battle to get his starting place back after stellar team performance from England” read the Twitter caption.

English media have often shown their biased opinion towards the Manchester City forward Raheem Sterling. The English International criticized by the English media when they spotted a gun tattoo in his leg while was training with his national team.
The 24-year-old was once again in the spotlight when he opted to fly in a normal economy flight to the holiday after the conclusion of the season. The English publication, The Sun, who have a bad reputation with the football fans around the world once wrote that the forward has hired a private jet two weeks before the world cup which has frustrated the fans. There are many stories which have been written against him and he decided to voice his opinion in 2018.
If you’re wondering what Raheem Sterling means when he says newspapers fuel racism. Here are some stories about him in UK tabloids:
– Eats breakfast
– Flys on a private jet
– Flys on EasyJet
– Shops in Penneys
– Get a new sink
– Get a tattoo

Raheem Sterling has always been pointing the treatment of the media based on the colour of the skin. The English publication Daily mail once decided to show their hatred by opting to write a headline for the Manchester City academy graduate Tosin Adarabioyo as follows
“Young Manchester City footballer, 20, on £25,000 a week splashes out on mansion on market for £2.25million despite having never started a Premier League match”
Whilst the same outlet was twisting for the Manchester City midfielder Phil Foden. The headline “Manchester City starlet Phil Foden buys new £2m home for his mum”
Reading the contrasting headlines, Raheem Sterling decided to take this matter to the social media and criticize the media for the predisposition racism towards the players.
“Good morning I just want to say, I am not normally the person to talk a lot but when I think I need my point to heard I will speak up. Regarding what was said at the Chelsea game as you can see by my reaction I just had to laugh because I don’t expect no better.
For example you have two young players starting out there careers both play for the same team, both have done the right thing. Which is buy a new house for there mothers who have put in a lot of time and love into helping them get where they are, but look how the news papers get there message across for the young black player and then for the young white payer.
I think this in unacceptable both innocent have not done a thing wrong but just by the way it has been worded. This young black kid is looked at in a bad light. Which helps fuel racism an aggressive behaviour, so for all the news papers that don’t understand why people are racist in this day and age all i have to say is have a second thought about fair publicity an give all players an equal chance.”
Gary Neville was right to criticize the media for showing their biased opinion by not favouring the players depending on the skin colour.
