Man Utd team news vs Reading: Manchester United will aim to build upon their impressive run in the FA Cup game against Reading.
Solskjaer has had a brilliant start at Manchester United. The side cruised to victory in all the four games under his charge, scoring 14 goals.
Manchester United scored five goals in his debut game as caretaker manager, which was the first time the side reached as many league goals in a game since Sir Alex Ferguson’s farewell game.
With four successive wins, Manchester United have reduced the gap with fifth-placed Arsenal to three points. The side is now six points behind fourth place in the league table, currently held by Chelsea.
Solskjaer’s men will now take on Reading in their FA Cup opener on Saturday. In the pre-match conference for the game, the interim manager provided an update on his team.

Expect rest for Rashford, Pogba, Matic, Herrera, Shaw, Lindelof, De Gea at least against Reading. And good game time for Lukaku, Sanchez, Fred, Pereira, Dalot, Romero, Angel Gomes, Greenwood etc. Interesting to see what lineup is selected and subs #MUFC #MUNREA

“There’ll be a few changes and they’ll get a chance,” Solskjaer began.
“Some of them are itching now to play of course – Lukaku and Sanchez will start, that’s important for them because they need more game time.”
Paul Pogba, however, is most likely out-of-contention for the match after the manager informed that he picked up a knock in the match against Newcastle. Rojo and Smalling remain absent.
“Marcos Rojo and Chris Smalling are out,” said Solskajer.

“I’m not sure if Paul’s going to be ready, he got a knock against Newcastle. If Marouane Fellaini gets through the session today, it’s more or less a full squad.”
Manchester United youngsters, Tahith Chong, Angel Gomes, Mason Greenwood & James Garner will be in contention to face Reading.
What next?
After the game against Reading, Manchester United will take on Tottenham Hotspur in the league next weekend.
