According to a report from ESPN, Barcelona believes they can sign Manchester United and England forward Marcus Rashford to replace Luis Suarez.

FC Barcelona have been making moves in the transfer market.

After securing the signing of Frenkie De Jong from Ajax, they’re wasting no time in acquiring another Ajax youngster, Matthijs De Ligt.

But it has been reported that the Catalan giants aren’t going to stop in their pursuit. According to ESPN, the side is also monitoring Marcus Rashford’s situation at Manchester United.

The English youngster emerged as one of the most impressive forwards for England and justifiably found a regular place in the national team’s squad as well.

A source from Barcelona has revealed that the club is interested in the player.

Marcus Rashford to Barcelona?

There have been speculations over Barcelona’s new striker once Luis Suarez leaves the club.

The Uruguayan striker is 32, and the Catalan club is considering moves for his replacement in the side.

Earlier this season, Luis Suarez stated that he had no issues with Barcelona eyeing his successor, as he acknowledges his age.

According to ESPN, a Barcelona executive has revealed that the club is interested in signing Marcus Rashford from Manchester United. However, the source has admitted that it is difficult to persuade the club to sell him, as United sees Rashford as the club’s future.

Talking to ESPN, the Barca executive said, “We don’t want to approach a player that still has a contract with Manchester United. He’s a great player but has [18 months] to run on his contract at Old Trafford.

“He is a good player and we like him, but there are other options better placed than him.”

The report further claims that Barcelona are also eyeing a move for Luka Jovic, who currently plays for Eintracht Frankfurt.

Jovic has had a fruitful season with the Bundesliga side, scoring 15 goals in 24 league games so far.
