Man Utd transfer news: Solskjaer wants 6 new recruits in the transfer window to save his job as the boss at Old Trafford.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been criticised for the manner in which the club has performed under him. The club that dominated England for several years is currently enduring its worst season in 30 years. However, the Norwegian still retains the support of the club.

Regardless, the poor results have piled the pressure on Solskjaer with the 2-0 loss to Burnley being the latest in a run of woeful performances. The manager is desperate to turn things around and save his job. To that end, he has told the Manchester United’s board that he wants 6 new signings according to The Times.
Manchester United agree to Solskjaer’s demands
The report adds that the board have agreed to Solskjaer’s demands. They will give him free reign with the budget in a bid to turn the sinking ship around. The manager wants to bring in a new full back, two centre midfielders, a winger, an attacking midfielder and a new forward.
All of Solskjaer’s 3 signings last summer have been an upgrade on the players they already had at the club. However, the club is currently an amalgamation of players purchased by all of United’s previous up to and including Sir Alex Ferguson. The board have now given him the opportunity to mold the squad in his very own image.
United’s biggest issue however, will be able to convince clubs to part with their players for a fair price. It is this very issue that has seen several deals with Manchester United break off; including Bruno Fernandes’ move from Sporting after the club priced United out of a deal.
