The Alexis Sanchez saga took a turn for the worse during Arsenal’s embarrassing defeat to Liverpool on Sunday.

Sanchez, who was playing his first game of the season, looked off the pace as the attacker cut a frustrated figure during the match.

He was not the only player who flopped miserably in the match, as the likes of Ozil, Ramsey, Xhaka and the entire defense did not play nearly as good as they should have.

Oxlade Chamberlain has seemingly played his last match for Arsenal, as reports have come out saying that the Englishman has agreed a deal to go to Chelsea.

Sanchez, who has not yet signed a contract extension, was told by Wenger earlier in the summer window that he will not be sold at any cost and will play out the remainder of his contract.

But Sunday’s humiliation may have turned Sanchez’s head, as the dejected Chilean might push for a move in the final few days of the transfer window.

Manchester City are growing increasingly confident of securing a deal for the attacker, as they are preparing a final 70 million deal or Sanchez. They are also prepared to offer Jason Denayer in order to sweeten the deal for Arsenal.

Guardiola has been chasing Sanchez the entire summer, as he believes the Chilean to be the final piece of the puzzle at Manchester City. The pair have worked previously at Barcelona, where they shared a productive relationship.

These last few days could prove to be decisive, as Wenger may have a huge decision on his hands. Arsenal are certainly facing an exodus of players in the coming days, but will Alexis Sanchez be one of them?
