The Romanian attacker signed for Steaua Bucuresti in 2016, and has since made 56 appearances for the club.

Steaua Bucuresti president Gigi Becali has revealed that Manchester United are interested in signing Dennis Man. The 19-year old midfielder signed for the club in 2016.

‘Manchester United asked me about Dennis Man and I want €30million (£26m),’ Steaua president Becali claimed.

Interestingly, Jose Mourinho was in Bucharest to watch Romania play Finland, where Man came on as a substitute at half time. Romania won the game 2-0.

Dennis Man made his debut for Romania earlier this year, and has since appeared twice for the team. In the 56 appearances he has made for his club, he has scored 13 goals.

However, Becali stated that the player is not for sale. “I know that they won’t pay this amount, but the player is not for sale,” Becali said.

Manchester United have already completed two signings in this summer transfer window within 24 hours, which reflects on the urgency with which Manchester United are functioning at the moment.

The club announced the signing of Brazilian midfielder Fred, and confirmed the acquisition of Portuguese defender Diogo Dalot a few hours later.

Fred, 25, joined United from Shakhtar Donetsk for a fee of around £52m, while 19-year-old Diogo Dalot completed a £19m switch from Porto.

Fred has been selected for Brazil’s 23-man squad as the Selecao aim for world cup glory in Russia this summer. Diogo Dalot, on the other hand, made seven appearances for FC Porto before making the switch to Manchester United.
