Mats Hummels destroys Luis Suarez post in Twitter

Mats Hummels has trolled a fan with a post which mentioned him and Luis Suarez.

Mats Hummels was not part of the side which was beaten by Barcelona in the 2014/15 Champions League Semifinals. The centre-back joined the Bavarians a year later, but a fan trolled him by mistaking him as Bayern’s number five.

There is a famous clip of Luis Suarez going past former Bayern’s number 5 Medhi Benatia with an outrageous back heel. A Twitter user named ‘JKO Pharmacist’ mistook between Benatia and Mats Hummels, and tagged the latter in that tweet.

Hummels Retweeted and the caption read: “I’m good, thanks. How are you? Send @LuisSuarez9 my greetings back, that was a nice trick he showed there. But the number 5 isn’t me anyway.”

Mats Hummels has now moved back to his former club Borussia Dortmund following a three-year spell at Allianz Arena.

His entourage to move back to Borussia Dortmund was explained by the manager Niko Kovac. The Croat opened up that he was not prepared to fight for his spot, after the big-money acquisition of Lucas Hernandez from Atletico Madrid.

“Mats approached us and asked how things will stand in the new season. We acquired a new player in Lucas Hernandez for €80 million, who we see in the central defense. Competition means that the better man plays. Mats was of the opinion that he would prefer to step out of the way.”

The German broke through the academy ranks of Bayern Munich, before moving to Borussia Dortmund when Jurgen Klopp bought him for 5 million in 2009. He lead them to back-to-back Bundesliga titles and a DFB-Pokal too.

As soon as his contract ran down, Hummels transferred to Bayern Munich in 2016. During his successful three-year spell with his boyhood club, the defender won three Bundesliga titles and one DFB-Pokal. He is expected to fight for the league title with Borussia Dortmund against his former side Bayern Munich in the upcoming season.
