The video titled ‘Ed Woodward’s gonna die’ shows fans aiming flares at a house that is reportedly owned by the Manchester United CEO.
Manchester United immediately responded to the incident by releasing a statement on the matter saying:
“Manchester United Football Club have tonight been made aware of the incident outside the home of one of our employees.
“We know that the football world will unite behind us as we work with GMP to identify the perpetrators of this unwarranted attack.
“Anybody found guilty of a criminal offence or found to be trespassing on this property, will be banned for life by the club and may face prosecution.
“Fans expressing opinion is one thing, criminal damage & intent to endanger life is another. There is simply no excuse for this.”
Fans call attack disgrace
Any sane person would say that the well-being of any human being is above that of a football club. To wish death upon someone and to actually attempt harm is a disgrace and right-minded United fan rightfully distance themselves from the disturbing act. Fortunately for Woodward and his family, they were not at their home at the time.
