Man united shortlist three players

Manchester United have identified three prime targets for the summer transfer window.

Manchester United have been producing results every week under the new interim manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. Things were not going their way under the former manager Jose Mourinho who was relieved from his duties following the defeat to Liverpool in December.

During the 2018 summer transfer window, the Portuguese International was pleading to the board that the team would require a rock-solid centre-back and the board decided against signing someone for a stopgap option. Ed Woodward knows that the current side lacks quality in the defense and he could hand over a huge sum to the permanent manager in the summer window.

According to the TalkSport, Ed Woodward is keen on luring three players to Old Trafford, namely, Kalidou Koulibaly, Ivan Rakitic, and Aaron Wan Bissaka. Apart from the Napoli defender, the other two names will come as a surprise as the side is in search of a proper right winger.

Napoli chief Aurelio De Laurentiis claimed that Jose Mourinho was keen on Kalidou Koulibaly last December and wanted him at any cost. The Red Devils’ determination to lure him away to Old Trafford is enduring.

Napoli will not do business under the figure of 100 million euros which means that the English outfit will have to break the transfer record of Virgil Van Dijk to land the Senegalese International.

Ivan Rakitic is another player tipped to join the Red Devils. The Croatian International, who is not getting rewarded with a new contract at Nou Camp is looking to leave the club. Ernesto Valverde convinced him to stay at the Blaugrana by asking him to reject Paris Saint-Germain.

With the arrival of Frenkie De Jong, there is every chance that the sale of Ivan Rakitic could happen in the summer window. Should a good offer be submitted on the table, Barcelona will not be hesitant to ship him off.

Aaron Wan Bissaka is the another named linked with Manchester United. The Red Devils will be eager to strengthen the backline and the arrival of the English International could solve the conundrum in the defensive flank of the right side.

Ever since his debut in 2017, the young full-back has established himself in Crystal Palace starting eleven and is regarded as one of the best young players in the Premier League. The Eagles will be demanding around 40 million for the defender.

It will be interesting to see how things pan out in the summer transfer window as the Red Devils will look for some big names to challenge for the Premier League title next campaign.
