Manchester United have already signed three players in this transfer window. Diogo Dalot, Lee Grant and Fred are the three who have been bought by the Red Devils. The Independent has now reported that the club is now interested in the Bayern Munich attacking duo of Thiago Alcantara and Robert Lewandowski.

Arsenal and Liverpool have both been extremely busy in the transfer and have averaged one new player every week. Meanwhile, Manchester City are quitter than usual. Pep Guardiola only added Riyad Mahrez to his squad, whose fee was a new club record.

On the other hand, Chelsea have also been in the market lately having signed Jorginho. Jose Mourinho now wants to kick start the window by signing the highly rated Bayern Munich duo.

Thiago Alcantara came very close to signing for the Red Devils in 2013, but eventually completed a switch to the Bundesliga giants. The Spanish international is now on the list of players that are looking to taste new pastures and the Bavarian club is ready to let him go for an estimated €70 million. Former club Barcelona are also monitoring the 29 year old.

Robert Lewandowski meanwhile has had tonnes of reports speculating his future. It seems that the Polish is now looking to bid farewell to Bayern.

Real Madrid and Chelsea are the two clubs who have shortlisted him since a long time, while United are late sneakers. Bayern’s CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge is thought to be asking €100 million for the former Borussia Dortmund man.

If United are on the verge of signing the two men, Ed Woodward will have to tear a €170 million cheque in favour of Bayern. Lewandowski’s addition will be a great upgrade to the United squad and could signal departures of Rashford or Lingard.

On the other hand, Thiago will be added to an already surplus United midfield.
