Manchester United team news vs Bournemouth: Two first-team starters are ‘ready’ for the match against Bournemouth, says Jose Mourinho.

The spirits are relatively higher at Manchester United after a series of good results in the Premier League last month. United registered a comeback win against Newcastle United, and held Chelsea to a draw as they conceded in the last second of the game, and secured three points against Everton last weekend.

Jose Mourinho’s side will now meet Bournemouth in the league this weekend, who are currently 6th in the league. Eddie Howe’s side has been impressive in this season so far, winning 6 of their 10 league games.

Mourinho, on the other hand, will aim to bring the season back on track with a win over Howe’s men, as tough fixtures await the side. Manchester United will travel to Turin as they take on Juventus, and return to the league to play league leaders and city rivals Manchester City.

The United manager has, meanwhile, provided the latest update on the team news for the game during an exclusive interview with MUTV earlier today.

Manchester United team news vs Bournemouth:

Jose Mourinho voiced his concerns over the team’s injury list in the previous game against Everton, but provided positive news ahead of the Bournemouth clash.

Two first-team starters, Jesse Lingard and Alexis Sanchez are ‘ready’ for the game, said Mourinho.

“Dalot and Fellaini, they are still out,” Mourinho said. “The only one that went one step behind was Antonio Valencia with some problem in his knee. But Lingard and Alexis, now I can say ‘ready’.”

Jesse Lingard made an appearance in injury-time for the side against Everton last weekend, but hasn’t started or played significant minutes since the Carabao Cup game against Derby County. Alexis Sanchez, meanwhile, aggravated an injury he faced during the international break, but is fit for tomorrow’s clash.

Mourinho stated that he’s happy with the work his side has put in during the training sessions this week.

“A very good week,” Jose said.

We work tactically, we improve some fitness levels. We improve some of the players that were almost there but not there – Lingard, Alexis – these kind of players, that were already available but not yet at a good level.

“We trained with our kids too, mixed with us on one of the days, which is an amazing feeling for them. A good week.”
