Manchester United Transfer News: Man United set to replace Romelu Lukaku with phenomenal tw-time golden boot winner Mauro Icardi.
Romelu Lukaku is reportedly on the verge of joining Inter Milan from Manchester United this summer, as Antonio Conte desires to have him in his rebuilding plans.
Henceforth, Manchester United are looking to find suitable replacements for the Belgian International. According to a report by the Express, the Red Devils are interested in swapping Mauro Icardi with Lukaku in a swap deal.
The Argentine International is struggled to find goals for the Italian outfit till now. However, he still remains among the top strikers in the world, considering his exploit with various sides.
Since, Lukaku has decided to move onto the Italian outfit, Manchester United would be needing a reinforcement at the same position. Thus, Icardi seems as a viable option, who can regain his form in England.
It is further speculated that Inter Milan are ready to offer the Argentine International for Lukaku this summer, and proposed this idea before, but the Red Devils did not agree to the deal first.
Manchester United earlier wanted to hire Milan Skriniar in place of Icardi, however, it couldn’t pull off, as both the club and player wants to remain in the union.
Thus, considering, lack of quality reinforcements in the market presently, and Lukaku’s strong desire to leave Old Trafford, Manchester United would have finalized to remain with the Inter Milan captain.
