Sadio Mane African Footballer Of The Year: New Balance produces exclusive shoes for Liverpool star to honour his individual award

Sadio Mane African Footballer Of The Year: New Balance makes exclusive shoes to honour Liverpool’s star prestigious award victory.

Sadio Mane is in the peak years of his career, which led him to claim the African Player of the year last night. The Senegalese International won the Champions League with Liverpool last season and the Golden boot award in the Premier League.

He also led his country till the final of African cup of nations but was defeated by Algeria in the final. Yet, it did not prevent him to win the award as his continued performances in this season kept him in the lead.

Liverpool’s kit sponsors New Balance has designed a pair of beautiful football boots in order to honour Mane for his individual award victory after defeating Mohamed Salah and Riyad Mahrez in the race.

The new king of Africa is crowned with a striking and sleek silo that arrives in a bold red colourway with a regal, gold tint to toast to his success. The Furon 6 is New Balance’s first-ever knitted boot, with the design coming complete with a ‘Fit Weave’ upper.

Sadio helped design a special insignia, visible on the heel of the boots, which also features “Sadio Mane African Player Of the Year 2019” on the laces and inside of the boots.

The football boots are expected to be launched shortly. Meanwhile, Mane gave a heartfelt yet humble speech after winning “To be honest I would prefer to be playing football than speaking in front of so many people,” said Mané.

“I’m really happy and really proud at the same time. I would like to thank my family, especially my uncle who is here today – and aswell my coach.

Although, this comes after when Liverpool announced its multi-year kit deal with Nike, which will replace New Balance from the start of the next season.
