Paul Pogba to Juventus

Manchester United wanted Miralem Pjanic, but Juventus were not willing to let him go in the summer transfer window.

Manchester United wanted Bosnia and Herzegovina midfielder Miralem Pjanic during the summer transfer window. The Old Lady were forcing the Red Devils to sell Paul Pogba in the last few days of the transfer window, but Jose Mourinho has warned the Italian Giants to swap these two in case any deal needs to be done in the future.

However, Massimiliano Allegri has clearly dented that approach from United. Initially, Nou Camp was supposed to be the destination for the French International, but Sky Sports reported that the English outfit turned down an offer worth 45 million Euros plus Yerry Mina and Andre Gomes.

Paul Pogba has been featuring for the Red Devils regularly, but his subpar performances have often been criticized by the Manchester United fans. There was a training ground bust-up between the French International and Jose Mourinho during the end of September.

Aftermath this serious quarrel, the Manchester United midfielder has not captained his side with Ashley Young being preferred over him for the armband. The problem with Pogba has always been his inconsistency. There is no denial about the quality available at stake, but Paul Pogba was surrounded by world-class midfielders such as Andrea Pirlo and Arturo Vidal at Juventus.

He was supposed to step up his game following the arrival of Nemanja Matic, but he struggled with the defensive part of the game. Fred is another midfielder who was bought this summer, but it has not brought the best of out Paul Pogba who is literally taking things for granted.

Currently, Jose Mourinho prefers the midfield trio of Nemanja Matic, Ander Herrera, and Marouane Fellaini over the French International who could not start against Fulham when United took up the pitch in the Premier League. The Portuguese International took a second string team to Valencia in the Champions League, and Paul Pogba featured in the team.

Paul Pogba is expected to stay put at Manchester United after the January transfer window. The French International said “My future is currently in Manchester. I am playing there at the moment, but who knows what will happen in the next few months.”

Jose Mourinho also denied that those comments, saying it is the “players problem and his relation with the media.”

It has been a tough start for the Red Devils as they sit on 6th with 26 points this term. They will face a stern test when they travel to Anfield to play Liverpool on Sunday followed by the game on Saturday against Cardiff City next weekend.
