The midfield triumvirate of Nemanja Matic, Ander Herrera, and Paul Pogba has been hitting the heights under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. Additionally, Fred is another option available for the Red Devils.

But, the Red Devils are not willing to stop as they eye another midfielder to bolster their midfield department.

Tanguy Ndombele to Manchester United

Lyon have asked their suitors to pay 70 million Euros upwards to secure the services their young phenomenon Tanguy Ndombele during the summer transfer window. The midfielder has been an admired by the Red Devils for a long time now.

Apart from Manchester United, he has been linked with the likes of Manchester City, Real Madrid, Tottenham Hotspur and Barcelona as the race to land him heats up. The 22-year-old has been impressive for the French outfit over the last one year and has atttracted interest from several parts of Europe.

Various English publications including Sky Sports and Mirror Football started to report that Manchester United were more determined to land Tanguy Ndombele from Lyon should Jose Mourinho stay.

But, the contracts of Ander Herrera and Marouane Fellaini are getting expired next summer which would pay the way for the French International who is more likely to seek a new adventure after this season.

Tanguy Ndombele is one of the on-demand players who is looking to claim the world-class status in the upcoming years. He is a box to box midfielder, and his traits can be compared to Paul Pogba who is flourishing under the Norwegian.

When Lyon took on Manchester City at Etihad and Groupama Stadium in the Champions League, Ndombele was causing serious threats to the Blues’ midfield and won the battle in the middle of the park. After the game, Pep Guardiola was lauding praise about the Lyon midfielder who stole the show.

During last summer, a host of clubs were circling the 22-year-old, but Lyon refused to negotiate at any cost. However, things could change this summer as there are even more additional suitors for the midfielder and the French outfit would be looking for an auction to secure his services.

It would be a great battle as Manchester City are looking for an heir to Fernandinho, who is already 33-year-old. Tottenham Hotspur are seeing him as a replacement for outgoing Moussa Dembele, and Real Madrid are prepared to lose Luka Modric in the summer transfer window.

Negotiating with Lyon Chairman Jean-Michel Aulas is one of the toughest jobs in World football. During the last summer, when Liverpool tried to lessen the transfer fee after having doubts about Nabil Fekir’s knee, but he denied it.
