Manish Pandey wedding: Rashid Khan hilariously taunts Indian batsman for not inviting him to his marriage

Rashid Khan hilariously taunts Manish Pandey: The Afghani spinner plays alongside the Indian batsman in the Indian Premier League.

India batsman Manish Pandey is having the time of his life in both his professional and personal life. The 30-year old player recently led Karnataka to their second Syed Mushtaq Ali title this year. A gripping 1-run victory has made Karnataka the first team to win the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy in consecutive seasons.

Coming in to bat at No. 4 in the fifth over in the final match against Tamil Nadu, Pandey scored 60* (45) with the help of four fours and two sixes to propel Karnataka to 180/5 in 20 overs.

With Tamil Nadu needing four runs off two balls to win the match, Pandey’s pinpoint throw from long-on found Vijay Shankar short of his crease at the striker’s end. The last-over dismissal played a vital role in Karnataka lifting the trophy.

On a personal front, Pandey tied the knot with actress Ashrita Shetty in Mumbai yesterday. Having got married just over 12 hours after the final match, Pandey will now travel to Hyderabad for the first T20I between India and West Indies on December 6.

Afghanistan and Sunrisers Hyderabad spinner Rashid Khan took to social media platform Twitter to congratulate Pandey for getting married. While Rashid wished well for Pandey, the last line of his tweet came as a hilarious taunt for his Sunrisers teammate.

“Congratulations my brother. Raja wishing you a lifetime of happiness together and a love that grows stronger with each passing day. Lekan Invite Q nahi kya (But why didn’t you invite me),” read Rashid’s tweet.

How Twitterati reacted on Pandey’s marriage:

Other than Rashid, many other current and former Indian and Sunrisers Hyderabad cricketers wished Pandey well for his married life.
