Marc-Andre ter Stegan pulls off incredible save during Barcelona’s 2-1 win over Getafe in their La Liga encounter on Saturday.

Barcelona remain hot on Real Madrid’s heels with a 2-1 victory over Getafe. The two sides are now level on points. However, Real Madrid still have a game in hand and could take a 3 point lead on Sunday night. Regardless, this was a lead achieved by a collective effort from Barcelona.

Antoine Griezmann and Sergi Roberto scored in the 1st half to give Barcelona a 2 goal lead. Angel Rodriguez scored in the 2nd half for Getafe and reduced the difference to a single goal. The visitors could very well have brought the difference to zero if not for Marc-Andre ter Stegan’s heroics.

With just 15 minutes of play left in the game, Getafe were awarded a free kick. The free kick arrived in the box and hit ter Stegan point blank. He failed to collect the ball cleanly but managed to keep the ball away from the back of the net before stretching himself to smack the ball away from Getafe striker Jaime Mata.

Co-commentator Ray Hudson summed it up nicely when he screamed: “It’s Marc-Andre ter Spiderman!”

The save would prove priceless as Barcelona held on to their slim lead and collected all 3 points as they chase a 3rd consecutive La Liga title.
