Manchester United will head into the international break with a victory to their name. The side demolished Brighton 3-1 at home to bag 3 points. They are now in 7th place and are only 1 point short of the top 6 in the league table.

Marcus Rashford was the player to look out for today. He ended up with a goal to his name; the final one that laid Brighton’s hopes of a comeback to waste. However, he could have very well ended with 3 to his name.

In the 68th minute of the match, Rashford missed an easy chance with a virtually open goal in front of him. However, 8 minutes later he made amends for it as he left Brighton defender Davy Propper in a daze and humiliated him in the process. Unfortunately, he couldn’t get the ball behind the net but it made for a good viewing regardless.

Marcus Rashford has the potential to become United expected him to be day in and day out. He has shown it time and again and was at it again today vs Brighton. However, the young England International needs to learn to do it on a constant basis for him to be recognised as a great in the sport.

He is still a young player though and is already considered a very good player by many. He has been prolific in recent times though and could come good on Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s expectations of him for the Red Devils.
